OUCH! I guess Wall-E gets it, but the producers don't. What a sad realization, but another good lesson to think about...and keep thinking about.
Thanks for sharing your experience,

A friend and I took our then 6-year olds to see Wall-E when it was first released at a big theater near our home in Durham. Every child who bought a ticket for the movie was given a shrink-wrapped plastic digital watch. We had two watches amongst four of us. They were broken by the time we got home from the movies (about 15 minutes). They were landfill. It was almost too ironic to believe.

Wall-E is a brilliant film. Imagine fighting over the a plant while ignoring piles of other stuff laying around. If only we could re-focus our priorities now, before there's only one plant left on the planet. If only we would overwhelmingly choose giant redwood trees over Gap clothes. At least it proposes that eventually we will.

loved yout Walli story, i had a class on enviornment through the lens of jewish laws. and what i will always remember is this simple fact. the land is not ours................when you remember those words, makes you really think about conservation. and protecting our land. and another thing, people should not cut down fruit trees, to always remember that trees give us so much. especially our fruit trees. thank you as usual for sharing your wisdom wiht us.
